Help Galaxy Nexus Auto-brightness Problem

Hi I'm using the GN I9250 running 4.01 (Canada, doubt ill ever get an update) and my screen keeps going dim then bright then dim within the same second . Every time i press anything (home,an app,new page) the screen goes from the brightness setting to the brightest setting back to the brightness setting i have put within a second. This problem is happening on all brightness settings and on auto-brightness.
This is really hurting my eyes, please help!

Just did a factory reset and that worked, all better

I've seen the same thing. It happens if you run autobrightness and then switch back to a set brightness at some point. After that, every time you open a new page it will flash full bright then back to whatever your setting is. Still happened on 4.0.2 and may still on 4.0.4 (but I don't touch auto brightness for this reason so I am not sure if it still happens on 4.0.4.).

Usually just turning off and back on clears the issue....as long as you avoid autobrightness.

Mine started doing this. Restart didn't fix it, but pulling the battery seems to have done the trick.
