Any information about off-contract price in the States?
When i search on Google, i find conflicting information, 900$:eek:,649$, between $500 and $600....

Who to believe?:confused:

Agreed. Until you see it in print from Verizon, we have no idea if it will even be subsidized (although don't take that as an opinion; I would be SHOCKED if it wasn't). My guess is around $600, along the lines of other high end 4G handsets.

But, Jersey Tom is right.

No, but my folks used to live in Highlands, New Jersey (Exit 12 :p )

If you go by this forum, it would seem like 90% of all Gnex's will be sold will be in NJ!

EDIT: Back on topic, my SWAG would be $649 unsubsidized....

Well that's great news for me, in Chicago. I'll just mosey in and pick up my baby since it appears there are only 3 or 4 others in my area that have even heard of this device.

I feel bad for those in Jersey. It'll be like a herd of brides at Filene's Basement.:p

Is that $649 for the 32gb version?
 
From Jersey originally... 18 years. More or less Exit 109 off the Parkway. Then some years in Colorado for college, Ohio for my first job, but down in North Carolina now. Jersey rocks, don't let the New Yorkers in Jersey Shore fool you.

In any event, as everyone has said.. who knows what the price will be until official release. Have to imagine $300 for a contract / upgrade?

I'm not too concerned either way.
 
$300 is very steep for subsidized price. I'm surprised they're pushing it that high. I think $200 should be the limit for high end phones

I think that now that they've started the $299 price, it will be very difficult to ever go back. It's like gas. With oil companies making the most profits they've ever made in their history, and with the economy being so crappy, human decency dictates that we should be getting much, much lower prices. Of course, human decency is non-existent in the ones making those decisions. It's non-existent in most of the same types of people at Verizon.

I do hope it will at least stay at $299 for a couple of years. :confused:

I think once other carriers get lte the prices will drop. The only real reason verizon can charge that is because they are the only one with an lte network. That all changes soon and I can see the prices dropping and for the fact that the lte chips will be more widely produced for more carriers which will bring the prices down. I mean look how expensive phones used to be and how they went down in price over time.
