Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Morning all! Feels good outside. Sunny, about 25 degrees, no wind. I love this kind of weather.

Stig, I remember that feeling...been a while though, haha. Getting dressed/undressed, showering, brushing teeth, etc were all difficult after a tough workout, haha.

Congrats on the G2s. I had a hard time at the store too because they tried to tell me I would lose unlimited. Rooting and flashing recovery is fairly easy. Although I should say I had a bit of trouble with root because I forgot one detail.

halon, I saw your post which saved me some headaches. All rooted with a new recovery.

Now I just need to find some good mods, etc... if you have any good suggestions hit me up on PM.

This is my first morning with glorious T-Mobile. I was getting 4 Mbps at work on Verizon.

Behold!!!

What am I supposed to do with all this bandwidth? Swim in it?!!

I'm completely enchanted. Thank you, T-Mobile.

Thank you!!!

Trying to get into recovery on my Nexus 7 and I can get to the screen where it shows my options that I can cycle through with the volume button (Start, Power off, Recovery, Restart Bootloader) but when I select Recovery and hit the power button to confirm, it reboots and gets stuck at the Google screen with the unlocked icon at the bottom :S

I'm intrigued.

Once the Verizon logo addition markup is complete, it will probably sell for $600 (assuming $25 per logo and one logo per GB). Add in there bloat, 9 month delay for certification, and it will be all set.

Think I may have figured out my problem on my N7. I'm running JWR66Y build which released a few months ago. Funny thing is, I definitely don't remember flashing that update. SuperSU is installed as a system app (can't uninstall, only disable) but after running a root check, I have no root. It appears after I flashed a rooted version of 4.3 via TWRP, the JWR66Y build became available through system update and it updated, maybe I accepted and forgot, but I definitely didn't manually flash it.

So, apparently I received an OTA that broke root and recovery. Blast. I know what I'll be doing this evening. Seems like the simplest way to get back to complete stock is Wug's, right?

I don't believe the G2 bootloader has been unlocked, but its been bypassed by the Loki tool.

Loki bootloader bypass, TWRP recovery come to AT&T, Verizon LG G2

I used to have the Verizon variant and can confirm that it works. A quick review of the xda threads shows that there are a ton of ROMs for it, too.

But I guess I'm really wondering is if I can lock everything back up in order to trade it in on the JUMP program down the road. . .

I'm starting to think that the Note 3 might be a tad too big. . . and although I use the Pen on the Note 10.1 constantly, I haven't really used it that much on the Note 3.

I'm pretty sure its relatively simple to go back to stock especially since you aren't unlocking the bootloader, but rather just bypassing it with this tool.

So I see the Google Launcher Experience is N5 only.

WTF?

The whole reason I like the Nexus line is because it was supposed to be across the board.

Now they are cherry picking their own line.

Ridiculous.
