Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Awe :( what is going on?

edit: Oh I see you're irc'ing let me know if I can help in anyway hope you get it solved soon

Thanks. My mother's computer decided to play games tonight. My phone doesn't like me. BUT the AF people are there to help as always!

Ooooo I don't know why I didn't come here earlier for this, as I'm sure SOMEONE can help me :)

I need another set of inner ear buds similar to the pair that came with the Nexus. I like that style, but I apparently have very oddly shaped ears, and they pop out ALL THE TIME. The regular buds like the ip*d buds don't fit either, so I would assume I need buds with extra rubber tips so I can find something that fits. I mainly listen to Metallica...But I do enjoy Eminem almost as much...I think I would prefer some good bass. Any help would be AWESOME :)

You need the big ole fat bud rubber covers right? To go one the earbuds you already own? Dang I saw some the other day might take some time I'll try to find a link :)

Yeah that would work...I guess I need big ole fat bud rubber covers...haha but I'm not sure...maybe I need smaller ones? It's probably the bigger ones I need. I don't mind spending some money on a good set, but I have heard that a pair like the ibeats or beats tour are decent, but you are paying for the name. I have 2 friends with Rezounds and they say they have deep bass, adjustable tips, and work great for calls...But I don't know much about headphones.

Extra rubber tips would be a great start though!

Was it easy? Truly one click (or two)? Any bumps in the road?

Edit: Oops, just saw your post above.

Ok - I'll be honest - there were bumps. But altimax and jbdan are awesome teachers and had me up and running quite quickly. SDK is not nearly as scary as I originally thought and I'd recommend using the toolkit to have it install the sdk and drivers you need and then having someone walk you through the commands the manual way.

lol I say that as I need the larger ones. Luckily the stock GN fit perfect, they are large. So they don't fit your ears and fall out? Do they ever go inside your ear and noise cancel aka create a tight fit/suction? Or do they go in and still fall out?

Meah it happens I ain't paying anything for the replacement and both of my battery's are charged until I get the new one tomorrow

i don't want the search button. i was thrilled to get rid of that on the Dinc.
Where's the battery mod? (And i can just flash that right after the rom right? )

Getting ready to now. Do I need to do anything other than Roman's zip? Any mods I should grab while i'm in recovery?

Personally I'd just flash the ROM and see how you like it as is. That's me though.

You'll most likely want to flash a nice battery saving kernel eventually, but the stock ain't bad atall!

And you can always flash stuff anytime you want anyways after you research it is what you want.

Yeah they go in alright and work for like 5 seconds then pop right back out. (thats what she said)

Still looking for that link srry...it took me forever to find them and I'm still not 100% positive they are compatible with the GN stock headphones...

I used the apps Pure grid calendar and Pure Messenger on my dx. However I can't get them to work right on my Nexus. Has anyone gotten them to work properly? Of so, which configuration are you using?

Thanks in advance!

Glad it worked out. I was nervous for you, even if you weren't ;)

Still following your adventure vicariously.
