Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Good morning fellow Gnexers! :)

Thanks guys. So has ROM Manager fallen out of favor?

Razor, I haven't used ROM Manager in over a year. Anything I can do with it, I can do in Recovery.

Yes, you can name the backups in TWRP. But also...

Imagine being able to "stack" zips to flash... for example, you could queue Superwipe, then your ROM, then Gapps, and then swipe to start and they all go one after the other automatically. Such is the joy of TWRP: you can stack up to 10 zips! You can also choose WHICH partitions to back up in a nandroid, and it generates an MD5 for each backed-up partition. So you could only restore /data out of a nandroid if you wanted to. Not to bust on Koush, he produces great work and is an Android legend: I just find TWRP to be superior to CWM in many respects.

I was wondering if CWM added that feature, but yeah it's great when you're simply flashing ROM+gapps. Plus it gives you that quick option of wiping Dalvik right after a flash before rebooting.

I too have been on TWRP for almost the entire duration of my GNex ownership and the entirety of the N7. ROM Manager just didn't play nice with the GNex for me.

Anti, the house looks great! Also, that's pretty astonishing battery life on a 2020mah battery.

I'm still using CW.

Life of Pi was fantastic, especially the 3D! Ang Lee did a great job. It was like I was reading the book again for the first time.

Sitcoms? I don't think so.
There is Hulu Plus if you're a subscriber. Tons of other wacky channels as well. Some have commercials, some you have to pay for.

Ugh.

It's tempting. What I need is that android powered internet stick. I can't remember the name of it but after a Google search I think I found it and it still isn't available for purchase.

DL is reporting that Google & Dish are finalizing their wireless network plans! It will be data only, with voice & SMS going out over VOIP. Could be mid-2013,folks :D

I have an old school Logitech revue, and Google TV is OK, but nothing spectacular. There is almost zero development for apps, and it's limited with buggy honeycomb. There isn't even a compatible app for hulu+ for it.

Good morning all - happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Black Friday and a nice relaxing weekend. Gonna post some Cyber Monday deals I find in here that we would enjoy.

QQ for everyone here. My boss got a 3G Nexus 7 and for the life of me we can't get the signal bars to go blue. They are just gray right now and we can't do anything on the tablet except on Wifi - anyone see a similar issue.

Great news about Google and Dish but I wonder if service is going limited? Sorta like great in cities and pretty non existent outside of that? Or like..I could go with Sprint here but when I go back home there's nothing.

Just reading about it now. Sure haven't. We generally just use what's on Netflix or Amazon to get our fix since we don't have cable. Not sure what this offers in addition.

I believe it pulls video from the internet. I want to know if it plays the latest episodes from the night before?
