Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Still using Apex Launcher 'cause I cbf to put everything the same way on my Nova Launcher. Is there a way to import settings?

P.S. Morning all!

Wife and I played Dance Central 2 for Kinect in workout mode for 30 minutes or so last night. Quite the workout! Think it'll be something we can throw in our mix and keep us more motivated with different things to do.

Hmm, never tried importing from one launcher to another. Apex and Nova are so similar that maybe it's possible?
I'm loading up Sourcery 4.0 now (backing up currently) so can't check it out. Purchased Nova Prime and haven't looked back. I like as clean a look as possible, so it works for me. Really, the only reason I started using it was to get rid of that stupid perpetual search bar. ;)

Those of you who haven't seen the latest Beautiful Widgets update might want to take a look. I had went away from it for a while to try a different look, but wow! They've got one of the best looking notification pulldown weather displays I've seen. Just discovered the lock screen widget too...very nice.

Nice find, Geek!
I updated before I backed up with TiBu and went to restore my widget and found the interface quite different. Will have to check out the other settings they have. :)

Open the BW app and click the 3 verticle dots for settings. Turn on weather notifications and you can change the status bar icon to temp, weather, or remove the icon but all three options give you the weather panel in the pulldown. Very nice!

Add the BW 4x4 to the lockscreen. It minimizes to 4x1 but with 1 swipe down expands to full screen and gives you the forecast.

With these I don't even know why I would go back to anything other than a very close to stock ROM. This lets me stay on JellyBelly unless I get an itch to flash Sourcery and see what they come up with later.

Haha, one last photo from Santarchy. I think we scared quite a few people on the Metro:

Speaking of updates, folks...

JBSourcery 4.1 is out ;)

It's an update from 4.0 or as a full ROM if you're on something else.

Now I'm REALLY happy I waited so long to flash. I'll just jump to 4.1 and skip everything between. (I've been too lazy to flash anything)

Can anyone link to his changelog? Not that I plan on switching away from JellyBelly since its incredibly fast and stable, but just wondering whats included in his new version.

Have you had any signal problems with jbs? I was on aokp and all was good but on this one I am hardly getting 3g I am starting to think my radio some how got replaced

I have had no signal problems.

Yes, I have noticed decreased signal with sourcery 4.1. I was always between - 85 and -93, now it's a solid - 100

I routinely run about -85 to -90, I'm at -87 on 4.1. So I'm in the range. I guess YMMV on these things but I have always understood that ROMs have little to do with signal strength. The JB baseband radios are what they are, for the most part.

EDIT: The updates to Apex Launcher are awesome! Resizable ICONS? Count me in - I reduced mine to 90% and stuck another column on the homescreen without it looking too cluttered! And yes, Apex will import desktop data from other launchers ;)

That is for the most part true. I have seen cases where the rom affected the signal, like we saw with the very early jellybean ports this summer from the 4.1 maguro. It just seems unusual and you're probably right about ymmv.

I use Nova and the latest update allows the same, but I had not thought of messing with them till I saw this. That allows me to make a much cleaner looking home screen! Thanks Chief! :D

I have 1 more final to give/grade and then I'm off until mid January. Nice time off, but I don't get paid in the meantime. Makes things a little tight to say the least.

I just saw the same RS.

I've played Ingress for like 20 minutes in the past 2 days. Really can't figure it out. I've collected a bunch of XM and linked the practice portals, but other than that I'm just kind of confused. Aside from the fact that things are sparse in my area...that makes it even more confusing.
