Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I was gonna post this in the Happy 4th of July thread but I thought it more fitting here, especially with gEEk announcing his frat twins. BTW, not sure if I said congrats to you gEEk, but congrats! Liking the possible name choices (good call on the Easton/Weston deal). Something you can look forward to, times two...
 
Geeez, that Droid Maxx looks so doggone...

...industrial.

Why do they have to make their phones look so MEAN? I want a nice phone with clean lines and they give me some military-looking thing. I was military, I did military stuff, I don't want military looking stuff anymore :(

I'm not sure what I'll end up with... but this is the year. Come on, Verizon Nexus 5 :p

Almost got it last week and then I saw the mention of the Ultra and Maxx phone. So now I'm waiting to see what they bring to the table. I even held out hope for the LG G2 but they are putting buttons on the back of the phone, I really don't like that. This Nexus was a great phone and I wish it could last forever.

I thought the leaked photo on Engadget just looked like an oversized Razr M.
Not bad, but still nothing all that enticing. At least Moto seems to embrace on screen nav buttons. :)

Yeah, the fact that Motorola started using software buttons last product cycle, and that Google is in complete control makes me skeptical that they'd willing choose to use capacitive buttons.

That is true, but capacitive buttons mean you need more bezel to make space for them. Plus you can make software buttons disappear to use that screen space if running the right custom rom. But that is the beauty of choice, we can both get what we prefer. :)

UFC is the new boxing. Anderson Silva didn't even wanna fight. He knew when he stepped into the ring it was going to be his last. I guess 38 is a good time to leave the sport and give it to an upcoming superstar.

Some friends and I were discussing this very thing. One friend thinks Dana and company were in on it, I think it's just Anderson. The first shot that clipped him wasn't even that hard, the first hard shot came when he was on the ground.

Not much to do here with the rain STILL falling. We have thus far received over 7" in 4 days. I had to grill in a sprinkling rain yesterday, simply because the steaks wouldn't keep any longer. I know our lakes are low, and the reservoir is getting down to bothersome levels... but come on! Just a wee lil' bit of sunshine in there somewhere would be kinda nice :o

I don't know how many of you have actually gone to one of these MMA events, whether it be UFC, Strikeforce, etc. But since the sport is still outlawed here in NYS, I can't go anytime soon unless I want to drive 4+ hours. I find it weird that NY is the only state in the country that actually has a law forbidding it.
 
I posted this over in the Moto X thread(for the Ultra though)... Found something new about the battery. They used two...SNN5924A 2130mAh and SNN5925A 3500mAh. The mAh numbers were right in the report. So I'm guessing Ultra and Ultra Maxx?

Those numbers are from the FCC report.
 
3500MaH is a nice sized battery, and a display like that will need every bit of it! I can't imagine NOT having a Maxx if the two are remotely similar. I like bigger phones anyway :)

I just think he's already accomplished what he wanted. Its time for him to move on and let the sport go. Anderson Silva didn't show up last night. He looked out of shape and bored. He needs a new hobby. Maybe a trainer or even commentator.
