Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Yep, I was confused this morning when trying all the links from XDA, DL etc.
Finally found them on G+ and the dev is even upset about it. Imagine it's some pull that Moto now has. :rolleyes:
Sideloading it directly from his site worked just fine though.
 
I can't get my Open Mic+ to work.

I have set on boot set, hot phrase entered correctly, and the screen is on. I hit START and say "Hey Ginny" and it just sits there.

You think maybe Play's recent update disabled it? Or is anyone else's Play version working? I may need a reboot...
 
Seems broken on mine as well? Also, my lockscreen has disappeared?

Okay, reboot fixed it. But now, I get a ringtone everytime I unlock the phone. Anyway to disable it?
 
Next step is to uninstall it and install it from Amazon, I suppose, with the apk from XDA in hot standby...


EDIT: I'm going to skip the Amazon install and just install the apk directly. Let's see if this works...
 
Played with the G2 yesterday - it will be my next phone. Hopefully sometime next month, but it's a gorgeous device. Camera is stellar from sample shots I took and I know the battery is amazing from the reviews I have read.

Just need to find it at a discount off-contract.
 
Okay, installed from Amazon so (a) I'd have a record of it and could re-install on the Note 3; and (b) have the latest version.

It works! All day long! So my suspicion that Google disabled it is not proven fact, but certainly is substantiated...


@Stigy: There is ONE G2 on Swappa, but it's AT&T :o

I just thought of Swappa - I sub'd to the LG G2 Verizon page so I will get emails when one is listed.

Glad I get to retire this Bionic soon too - oof, what a phone.

It may be one of the worst displays on a phone ever.

The only amazing thing about it is the Motorola radios - they are truly something else. How are the G2 radios working for everyone?

Straight stock; default settings. If you zoom it is noisy (grainy) , but that's more a function of digital zoom than the camera. I am very pleased.

I went to Amazon to pre-order the Note 10.1 (to replace the Darling Bride's antiquated gTablet) and they have 16 GB white, 32 GB white, and 32 GB black.

No 16 GB black???

Anyone else finding this elusive thing? :confused:


EDIT: Never mind, stupid me didn't actually go INTO the listing, where the color is selectable :rolleyes:

EDIT 2: Nope, white is available for pre-order now. Black has a sign-up button for availability notification :(
 
Monday I have an orthopedic appointment and it is also the day I'm available for an upgrade. Do I buy outright or do I go with Edge? I'm still debating that with myself.

Good chance that the G2 is in my future..
