Help Galaxy Note 10.1 dies while installing firmware update

Hi there
My tablet brought up a message that new firmware had been downloaded this evening......after hitting the 'install' option, it got to around 80-90% and suddenly died.

I have tried various combos of pressing and holding power & volume buttons.....when I hold the power with the volume down button it takes me to some sort of default screen (which led me to ODIN mode) but can't seem to get it back on or re-booted.

Bought this device in december and like it a lot but I have just got it back after a similar episode of dying for no apparent reason so fairly disappointed with reliability so far!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.....don't want to send it off for another couple of weeks to get fixed....

Thanks in advance
C

If you get it into ODIN mode, than just download the firmware it was updating to and flash using ODIN.

Thanks for the reply, but not quite sure how to operate from this mode.... No matter what I do or press, the screen seems static. A message saying downloading, do not switch off target is shown! but even leaving it 15-20 min made no difference.

Finally, if I do manage to operate, how do I know what firmware I'm downloading? Seemed to do it automatically ship didn't get the details!

1. What device - N8000/ N8010/ N8010?
2. What country?

Then go to SamMobile.com and search for the latest firmware for you device and country. Download that and put your Note in the Downloading mode. Connect it to the PC. Once drivers are ready, use ODIN to flash the downloaded firmware.
