figured part of my question, polaris 4.0 download allows to edit pdf files, add text and use s pen to sign/add free hand notes!

Now just trying to figure how to save them to drop box or gallery unless i can figure how to attach files other than these two??!!
defo not a tech head:confused:

Crackin phone though, makes my old bb look worse than an 80's brick phone!

Hi there
Now i did that and it worked out for me you better try this
You save your pdf file 1st
then follow these steps

1-Open the snote
2-from menu select import
3-you will find a list of things you can import among them Pdf files
4-brows for your file
5-the pdf file now will be in your snote
6-now you can open that file on snot and edit and type whatever you like
I think you know the rest, you can save as a different name and holla send it to email

In fact you can even import it as another Pdf file or a set of pictures more over you can just pick the pages you edited them.
Have tried to attach from the Gmail application but its not showing the files, though when i open the Gmail from the internet application browser you can attach anything from your files, and you will be able to include the new Pdf.

Thanks, getting there. I have figured it with some pdf files but wont work on others. I can open all and now find, attach and send but some will not allow me to add notes etc.
Only had the phone the day, lots to learn but its starting to compute!

Protected pdf files cannot be edited and just a note, not all edited files may print on a specific system, which may be an Adobe reader thing.

I've only played around with this a few times, but really would like to know how to accomplish it, on a word doc, excel file, or pdf (e.g. all of the above).

The best I've done is just clip a portion of the doc / file, and then save it to a S-Note. Much like Hewitt300, I'd like to go paper free, especially in meetings.

In a rush to go through this thread and post that I couldn't figure out how to do this, I saw your post and am extremely happy now! This is perfect for what I was wanting to do.

I have to try this out on other types of files, especially excel.

I only have the option to import image, PDF, S note or S memo. No option for excel, csv, word or anything.

Yeah, I saw that, but I'm wondering if all I'd need to do is convert an excel spreadsheet to pdf...and then, at that point, I'd be able to do the same thing...which is perfectly fine, since I'd rather send a pdf (just so that any changes or comments to the file I'd be sending, would have to be written in and couldn't be changed on the original).

I have another good tip about snote files will share it with you guys maybe someone does not know about it
If you long press on any of your snote files, a list of commands will pop out one of them is lock, and that can help you protect that file with a password so no one can open it without password
Cheers

That's great to know. For my past couple meetings since I've had the phone, I've been using S-Note for little notes, but all of these little tidbits are making me want to use it more often than I already am.

Once I get my tablet (waiting on the 7-8 inch...whatever size it is...Note tablet) and possibly the ATIV 700t, these little tips are going to be amazing.

BTW, for those of you that were considering purchase of the ATIV 500T or 700T, I tried out some of the video options that use air view on the Note 2...Those don't work on the Windows 8 Samsung tablets, despite it having the S-Pen. Also tried picture preview and that didn't seem to work either.
