Help Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 Cannot Insert Sim

Guys

Today I received a Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 that I bought off of Ebay and am having a problem with the sim slot.

There is an object in the sim slot, it isn't a sim card as such but I cannot remove it by hand and I dont want to force it; from the size & shape of it, it looks like it is a permanent fixture, as the part of the card under the housing is larger than the apature

Is there a Galaxy Note with a fixed Sim card

I have attached a pic

If I press it is clicks and the spring releases it but as I say the actual card looks larger than the slot front, so to me looks like it was there at time of manufacturer

The pic shows the furthest the card will come out

My wife has a note 2 also but on Verizon. When she gets home I'll "borrow" her phone to take a look
I don't think it's supposed to be permanent
Something is awry there

It does look like someone tried to stick a micro SD card in the SIM slot and it got caught in the slot.

Yes that's what I think it does clearly state SimCard but maybe the person was not wearing their specs at the time and decided it will go in no matter what.....maybe have to take the phone apart carefully

Yes, that looks like Nand-flash, i.e. a memory card (micro SD). It must have been forced in because it is a bit thicker than a SIM card. Since it is protruding from the SIM card slot I would try and use a pair of nosed pliers and gentle pull whilst wiggling it - I am convinced it will come out of the slot.
