Galaxy Note 2 master Accessories List

I must say it is a very nice case. I got the combo with the holster. black. Fits like a glove. openings to all buttons and power. Fits well in the Samsung universal vehicle car dock that I got today as well. It actually had a field test by accident after I put it on. Set it on my kitchen counter top and was accidently pushed off and fell over 4 ft to the tile floor. No damage what so ever. Very nice to hold. Slips on and off very easily. comes with first soft rubber covering then a harder piece to re-enforce the corners. ill have to get another one in a color i like after they come out. Kickstand works great to watch movies with. Tho if you dont have any fingernails it is a bit tricky to pull it open. The holster is a perfect fit and like it can be turned to any angle. You can only mount it with the face of the phone inwards. I choose not to put a screen protector on, unless you use a diamond you pretty much cant scratch this glass. Want to get the desktop charger from samsung but there backordered and my 50 percent off for registering ends in 6 weeks. Enjoy your Note 2 everyone.

Any chance you can post a picture for us? Curious to see actual shots of it - the webpage pictures aren't that helpful.

Can you guys post some pics for the rest of us?

Here you go...

YES!!!! I had this keyboard. Would still have it if I hadn't gotten mad and threw it against a wall.
I remember looking on eBay about a yr ago and the prices were higher than some of the newer stuff out.

Received my black Samsung hard case yesterday. It really looks nice and almost appears like the phone doesn't even have a case on it. It adds very little bulk to the phone. It does not have that rubbery outside so some people might not like the feel of it but I think it is comfortable to hold and use. I just love how little it adds to the size of the phone and the fact that most people wouldn't realize at first glance that the phone is in a case.

The only other thing regards how much protection it will offer. It sounds like the weak part of the phone is when it is dropped on its corner as this has been leading to the screen cracking due to the edge to edge glass. I hope the case would absorb most of that type of impact and thus protect the screen though I have no real way of knowing without testing (which I won't do). Perhaps others have more knowledge in this area and we'll hear their opinions later. Basically with the 50% off coupon this is certainly a case worth trying for $15 + shipping ($20 total for me).

This is fantastic. I think I'm convinced THIS is the case of cases!

Do you experience any problems with the s-pen and magnet on the back?

Well as embarrassing as this may be, I've never used the pen. I actually haven't even pulled it out yet (that's what he said). I'm trying to figure out everything about the phone before I do. I know, weird.

 not even a little curious to use it?

Sweet pics edlex! That's an awesome case. It may knock the defender off the throne for me.

I need color though... I'm waiting for Seido to release the colors.

Thanks everyone for posting the pics and feedback on the Seidio cases.

I watched a bunch of videos on youtube on the Seidio Active and Surface cases for the GSIII. I like both cases, but when comparing to the Otterbox variants that WILL come out (eventually), here is where I come out:

1. Seidio Active is comparable to the Otterbox Commuter. Same basic design - rubber mold with plastic shell that secures it.

2. I initially thought the Seidio active would be a good replacement to the Otterbox Defender. However, it is not close to as durable - assuming the Otterbox Defender for the Note 2 will be similar as the Defender for the Note 1. The Defender has a hard shell plastic case that encompases the entire phone first, which is then surrounded by rubber.

In terms of safety/durability, this is what I have come up with:

Seidio Surface <<< Siedo Active/Otterbox Commuter <<< Otterbox Defender

3. I want two cases - one for everyday use, and one for rugged use (snowboarding, biking, etc). For everyday use, I've decided on the Seidio Surface case for the following reasons:

A) I don't need the bulk of the Active or the Commuter (or defender) cases.

B) Between Otterbox and Seidio, Seidio is shipping now and I need this ASAP for everyday day-to-day protection. No time to wait for Otterbox, but I wouldn't want the Commuter for day-to-day use anyway.

C) Seidio has a kickstand, which I would like on a day-to-day basis (Versus when I'm boarding - I need maximum protection and could care less about the kickstand). Day-to-day case is what i take to work, I use on the train, on a plane, etc. Kickstand would be great.

4. For outdoors conditions, I will wait and get the Defender case for Otterbox. From the videos and research, the Otterbox Defender is by far the most durable. I am thinking - Snowboarding, case in pocket - I take bad crash. I need the phone protected.

Seidio now has the obex line of cases which are waterproof. I'm waiting to see if they come out with ones for the note 2. If they do that will be my rugged/outdoor option since the defender leaves lots of areas open on their cases. I've always had defenders on my phones so this delay by otterbox may actually cost them a sale this time around. I'm very happy with my surface so fortunately for now, I can wait.

That's a nice case, KS-Man.

Still wondering why I spent nearly $70 for a Seidio Surface case with holster, but I'll see if I got my money's worth when it arrives on Wednesday.

Agreed. Looks awesome. Though I like holsters!

I just got the case that I ordered from eBay. It's very nice. High Quality.

It's a little difficult to use because I have to fold the flap back to use the phone. I may use it until my red Seido case comes in the mail.

I just got my Seidio Active Case + holster for Note 2
Wonderful product - MUCH less bulky than the Otterbox
I feel the Active Case is designed very well and provides necessary corner protection, to prevent shattered glass

The rear kick stand on the Active case is brilliant, and sets it apart from much of the competition.
Makes it easy to view videos anywhere.

and the Seidio Active Holster is built very well - very nice robust lever on the top that securely holds the Galaxy Note in the holster.
The whole affair attaches on your belt, and feels more secure to me than my last otterbox defender iPhone 4 holster - that I never used due to being awkward.

I give the Seidio Active + Holster high marks

I will add the Seidio Active Case has that rear "kickstand" that can double duty as an aid in one handed holding the device

The Seidio Active reminds me a bit of my old Incipio case for my iPhone 3G,

https://www.incipio.com/cases/iphon...rylic-hard-shell-case-with-silicone-core.html

and the Active shares this design philosophy

"Hybrid design - a shock-absorbing silicone (rubber) skin encased in a hard polycarbonate exterior shell
High-density silicone (rubber) skin provides excellent shock-absorbing protection against accidental drops"

I also have the factory Samsung hardshell case.

Galaxy Note

But as a design engineer myself. I understand the importance of using a case that provides shock absorption on the corners during a fall.

I typically accidentally drop my phone once a month - so a true shock absorbing case is a must for me.

By contrast, Hard shell cases directly transfer the blow to the phone and, we all know what that can do:

Not interested in paying $298 for a replacement screen - if i can prevent it.

It's a little difficult to use because I have to fold the flap back to use the phone. I may use it until my red Seido case comes in the mail.

Please let me know how the folded flap feels during the course of usage. Mine became uncomfortable. Just noticed you have a strap on there.... NICE!!!!

Which Seidio did you order- Surface or Active?

Okay. I'll let you know.

I ordered the Surface in red. I considered the Active, but I don't like black cases on a white phone (even if it's part black like the Active.)

Just received my Seidio SURFACE case with holster.

I wasn't very happy about paying $60 for the combination. I think it's vastly overpriced, but I was pleased to find upon receiving it that the build quality was excellent. At least I can sort of feel like I didn't get ripped off for the money I spent.

The only thing that bothers me is the size of the holster when on the belt. It is absolutely enormous and what could very well be an odd eyesore to others looking at it. It's so big, in fact, it almost inhibits movement of the body's waist area.

Still, not a total disaster. Just be prepared that if you want to wear your phone outside your pants pocket it's going to be a huge thing to lug on your belt.
