should i buy the galaxy note 2 now or wait for the galaxy s4

what i was planning to do with my phone is gaming and internet browsing,but what i'm concern is that the note 2 is gone lose his horse power against future games and that the s4 will be better for the more graphic intensive games in the future because of his exynos 5 chip,second is that im just a little bit worried about the screen quality of the note 2 and is the s4 rumored 1080p display gonna be alot better than the note 2 display,third is the size im 6 foot 6 and i thinking that the note 2 is not too big for me but generally i think that the note 2 is not to big for no buddy if you're sitting at the couch and comfortably holding the phone with one or two hands but my concern is when your in a hurry and you have your one hand full with bags or somthing and then you need to answer your phone or send a text message could you still use your note 2 with the other hand comfortably or secure enough not to drop it,fourth is that a need a good amount of internal memory for my apps and how it is right now the note 2 comes only with 16gb internal (i now there is a hack how to swap internal whit external memory but i dont now how good that is gone work) and that the s4 maybe come with 64gb right out of the box because samsung is working on a thiner and faster 64gb chip,and finally my last thought is like with every rumor is that they might be truth or not and that is what is eating me up is to wait for it to see are they real or not and why i can't wait no more because a never had a smartphone before (right now own a nokia c6-00) and i dont have alot of money to spend every half year to buy a new smartphone thats why my next phone needs to be good and not that i spend all my money for one phone and a couple of months later there is a better phone for almost the same amount of money,so that's all i have to say sorry for such a long post but i want to be really detailed about it and sorry if my english was bad am not so good ad it used google translate
 
If you decided to wait for the S4 you'll probably be waiting for at least 6 months. Then there will be another "better" model coming out in a few months. It's a never ending, vicious cycle.
 
Exactly what Caloy said. Thats the problem with tech. There's always something newer down the line; 6mo-1yr later. But if you look at it like this, you'll never have the best phone because you'll always want what comes next even though next hasn't been officially announced.

Even now, the Note 1 is still a phenomenal choice even though there's a newer generation.
 
also keep this in mind. the next version of the s3 will likely have a full 1080p screen. few if any games out now will work well with the next generation of displays. look at the early problems the htc dna is having with the current generation of 720p games.

It's a never ending, money sucking, wallet shredding, time dump :)
 
To be honest, with a screen size of 4-6 inches I really can't see the difference between 720p and 1080 unless I get my magnifying glass out and really examine it. Both formats have amazing pixel density and the difference between good and great images becomes due to other factors.

It's like trying to compare cameras by just comparing the megapixels when the lens, element and processing have much more impact on picture quality once you reach a certain pixel density.
 
If it were me, I would wait until CES/MWC and see if anything is announced for the Samsung Galaxy S4. And depending on what the specs look like, make your decision after the announcement. Like others have mentioned, after any type of announcement it might be another few months before the phone is released.
 
If you wait for the S4, then the Note 3 will be only 2 months away and you'll

have to wait for that because of the quad core 2.4 Ghz processor.......


Ok-I made up the specs but you get the point.

I don't own a Note 2 but I checked one out with a friend who has a Note 1 ,

and if you like the huge size the Note 2 is probably the most future proof phone

you can get.

Too big for me to carry around but what an awesome device!

Guessing that if get your hands on one and play some games watch some movies on the

beautiful screen, this debate will be over and you will get one.
 
Probably like others on here I've had many smartphones, touch, hero, evo, galaxy s, s2, s3, and now note 2, I've learned 1 thing get what you and don't listen to the hype. There's always something better coming, I personally love my note 2, and I'll have it until the note 3.
 
They really aren't in the same category. The S4 is a phone. The Note 2 is a phablet with S Pen. Which do you want?
 
WTF.... i barly got my note 2 now im hearing theres a s4 coming out? technology moving so fast that i dont even know wtf is a good phone now a days
 
I'm getting the Note2 and will keep an eye out for the Note4 or 5.
I usually buy what's best out there and then keep it for a couple of generations until the latest and gretest is a revolutionary jump from what I have.

The S4 is rumored to have a 2.0 GHz quad-core CPU with LTE, 3 GB of RAM, 12 MP Camera, and 1080p screen at 5". Going to be displayed at CES and rumored to be released shortly after. Shooting for a spring-time release.

That thing is gonna be saweeeet.

Buy the Note 2 now, sell it in a few months when the S4 comes out. That's what I do to stay on top of the latest and greatest. Buy what I want, sell what I had before and get some of my money back.

Do you break even? Also, do you sell right before the next phone is announced to avoid a huge value decrease is your current phone?
 
I think you can get at least 200 bucks for the galaxy s2. More for the 3. It works out to be great if you have a family account and can do alternate upgrades. Are you going to break even? Probably only when you do it for a new upgrade instead of paying full retail price. Just to give an example. S4 comes out and you sell off for your Note 2 for 300 bucks but you get the s4 and keep your contract and upgrade date the same. you are looking at getting the s4 for 300 if you look at it that route.
