Galaxy note 3? Any rumors

I was a little late to the game getting the GN2....but I am really loving this phone! I can't wait to see what Samsung does for an encore.....:D

Last rumor(s) I heard was that the Note 3 was to have a 2Ghz quad core, possibly 3GB's of RAM and a 6.3' screen. So, basically, bigger screen and faster internals. What I'd REALLY like is for the US carriers to carry the larger capacity models. Seems like the Note 2 is selling pretty well so hopefully that'll encourage the carriers to start carrying all the models for the Note 3.

The octa 8 isn't an 8 core cpu, since all 8 cores don't run at the same time. Only 4 do, there are 2 sets, one high power, and one low power.

Note 3 will be released in November... It's a long wait and those specs just posted are simply guesses.

I guess two quad cores (4 x 2) does no longer equal 8....thanks for the math lesson. :D Either way it will be fast,,,as will the note3

Yeah, I think Samsung is on an annual update cycle so we should probably see the Note 3 sometime around then. I'm not eligible for upgrade until the Note 4 so kinda eagerly anticipating what's in store for the Note 3.

I am not too sure that I would grab the GN3 if it is much bigger than the GN2. For me, the GN2 is pretty much the perfect size.....I just need to learn to use all of it's features. But size wise, it fits my hand very nicely. I am extremely happy that I gave my LTEVO to my son and went with the GN2.

That would be perfect, I have 2 upgrades coming this year.....

The Note 3 will likely be awesome enough for me to warranty selling my Note 2 so I can buy it, contract be damned.

If the rumors are true it is sounding very nice indeed. Just a shame it wont fit in the pockets i'm guessing. The Note 2 is superb though, besides a bigger screen there's nothing that I actually need.

If the rumors hold true then I just might be tempted to sell off my Note 2 for it. Fortunately, mine's unlocked so it'll carry a premium over standard Note 2's. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the Note 3 looks like.

I just hope they don't go too big w/ the Note 3. The 5'5 screen on the N2 is perfect.

I'm sure I won't be carrying a larger phone in the future. If future notes are bigger I'll have to look at other phones. I use the pen often enough that I would miss it.

There are a lot of ways the note might be improved besides making it bigger. As long as the improvements preserve or improve battery life they would be welcome. A foldable or unbreakable screen would be a game changer but probably isn't feasible yet. More pen functionality or making it's functions open source would be great. Storage will probably get cheaper. More of that never hurts. There are things that don't work great, like the screen brightness adjustment. The phone doesn't transition easily between thumb and bluetooth keyboards. There could be better battery charging management by allowing user selectable voltage limits to preserve the battery on days when a full charge won't be needed. Most decent digital cameras have presets. How about user creatable preset widgets. The potential of speech recognition is hardly touched because the players can't figure out how to charge us for it. The processors could probably have special processing for speech the same as they do for graphics. The possibilities are endless. The things I probably won't go for are a bigger device or higher price.

I don't see anything in the new note 3 that will make me stick with Samsung. I love my note 2 but its big enough - anything larger is too big as a pocket phone.

Theres a lot of up and coming devices and manufacturers catching up rapidly with top spec devices. Blurring a phablet and a tablet will not keep Note customers with Sammy IMHO.

As much as I love the 5.5" screen I could go bigger and be just fine with that too. People have been using 7" tablets as phones for a long time now so I think size is a state of mind.
I've lost count of how many "I'd never" posts I've read only for the same people to now say 5.5" is perfect. They'll say the same thing if Samsung actually does do 5.9.

It all comes down to the overall physical size, not necessarily the screen, for me. I'd have been perfectly content with a 4.7 or 4.8, but after the Note 2 slimmed down the overall physical attributes from the 1st generation, that's where it seemed more realistic for me to get it.
