galaxy note 3 signal issue

I placed my phone next to a magnet and realized I did it I quickly picked it back up a few moments later ;the magnet is extremely strong I was wondering if it could be why it seems I'm noticing sudden degradation in my signal quality with my note 3 it seems like it's getting weak signal now could I have damaged my phone?

No prob, have you thought about a factory reset? If it's hardware, there's not much you can do about it outside of replacement, but if it's software, a reset would likely fix it.

I'll try but wouldn't I lose everything? And would a magnet even effect the phone like that?

Unlikely. Probably the worst thing that could happen is an internal metal component gets magnetized and affects the compass.

Lots of cases have magnetic closures.
