Help Galaxy Note/Go SMS issue

Having an issue.

Have had Note a little over a month and have been using Go SMS Pro for text messages. Yesterday, I did something and now I am not receiving any text messages. Most notable are the Facebook/Twitter messages I was getting. A CNN text did come through but that was all.

I have cleared my cache for all messaging apps even though I use Go SMS primarily. I do not have a default app set for messaging, I just use the Go SMS app button on my home screen.

At a loss. Have read a few threads but no help so far. 20 hours since receiving a text. I sent texts and people have received them, so problem is just with receiving on my part.

I can uninstall and reinstall, but how do I backup the messages I have so far? The backup on Go SMS says backup "settings" and not "messages".

You might want to go back to the stock SMS program and reactivate it for a bit. Unless you're just using the Go SMS servers, all your text messages should still be there and, if you uninstall and re-install Go SMS, you messages should come "back" regardless.

I will go with that as I am at a loss. But I didnt' get any texts since yesterday afternoon and I am a little peeved about that.

while on the subject of GO SMS..why, even though i set the option to make it the main text app and not use the stock app, when I get a text, i get a notification in Go SMS AND the stock text app?

I always go into the default SMS program and turn off notifications manually. I know the setting is on Go SMS to do it through the app, but it doesn't always work.
