Galaxy Note - missing Google play store app

I can't find the Google play store app (which I understand should be pre-installed)

I therefore get endless error messages when trying to install anything from google play website

My phone seems to be on the list of approved devices - just no icon/app!

Beware woman driver here so any help greatly appreciated

Hello shanghaisally. Welcome to Android Forums. Have you looked in your app-drawer for the market app? You can either go to all apps and look for the Goggle Play app or simply long press an open area of a screen, choose app from the menu, and then chose the Goggle Play app from the list provided to create a shortcut to the app market. Once you open the app you will be in the market place and should have no problem dnlding an application

My play store is completley gone. It does not even appear in applications all. Most of my downloaded apps also disapeared, just little android symbols that tells you it is not installed. Why must it bee such an effort to be able to re-install or find the play store to download? All the help from android is useless if you don't have the play store on your device. Please help. First welcome to the forums!

Have you tried side loading the store by searching in google, "Play Store apk" and seeing if that works?
