Haven't seen this posted and i forget the rules on pasting links, but the RoadSMS from the Galaxy has been ported to the Incredible. I'm not sold on it's functionality, but it's kinda cool to show off to peeps. I take no credit for this, but wanted to make sure you all knew.

yeah I got it earlier, it's alright, it's just a cool feature you can show your non droid friends, lol, swype > anything else. lol
 
Yeah, can't imagine anyone using this to type while driving, but then again people swear by swype so who knows. For me both are show off items. I always go back to the stock.
 
Thanks. I get it now, but I don't think that's going to help much, because people still look down and not forward while texting lol.
 
OK, I don't get it. It is texting with my camera on. Not sure what the purpose is. IDK. Maybe I'm slow. Are they saying that while I drive I should hold my phone up and look at the screen to drive and type at the same time? Yikes.

who would ever think to drive and text? i mean this app is clearly only for walking and will only be used for walking.......

this is an awful app if you ask me. basically encouraging people to drive and text.
 
I find it funny, downloaded the apk and installed, and I find *no* use whatsoever since my hand covers the camera when I hold the phone to text. lol
 
I didn't have root and installed it just fine. Just copy the .apk to your SD and install using Astro or other file manager.

I don't care for the app. The keyboard is generic, the space key is located in the lower right corner instead of center-bottom, and with the location of the camera lens on the DInc, my fingers often end up in the way completely blocking the view.
 
Installed for me. I don't want to use it normally but its cool showing people what the phone is capable of and the variety of apps you can have when you're capable of installing software that replicates the functionality of what's been given by the manufacturer.
