Help Galaxy S sync

Hi
proud new owner of Galaxy now suffering because all contact and schedules are on Outlook.
Sync to phone works for all appointments up to January 2010. Current and for the last 9 months it refuses to do. This is all from a Dell laptop.
Driving me nuts.
Any suggestions?
