Galaxy S2 Corrupt System?? HELP!

Hello!

Ok, where to begin? ...

I updated my phone to the latest version (4.1.2) about a week ago,
Everything was working ok (If a bit laggy).

But now the problems that have developed since include:

1) Phone will not charge properly - Takes a few seconds so say its charging, and no sound to say it's been plugged in.

2) After receiving a text message, the screen will dim after a few seconds, but never actually goes off. (Tried turning off the 'face watch' thing)

3) Cannot switch phone off using the power button (It just restarts phone)

4) After pulling the battery out and re-inserting, the screen changes between a flat battery and a half full battery and it also vibrates every now and then, and just repeats this forever, cannot get the screen to go black and stay black.

5) Have to time the power on button to start up to when its showing a half full battery (See #4) ... But this also takes a few attempts.

6) Cannot connect the phone to a PC using data cable (Kies). (Have tried latest drivers) - When the phone is unplugged from data cable, the phone still has icon saying its connected via USB

7) Sometimes the phone just stays on forever.

I have tried using Factory Reset.. Still just as bad.

There are probably more things wrong with it lol..

Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this????

Preferably I like would like to roll back to version 4.1.1 - I liked this version before they introduced all the S3 stuff (They messed up my 3x3 keyboard and I want it back!)

Any ideas welcome,

Cheers,

Tanza.

are you rooted? if not then the only thing i can think of is bringing it in to get looked into. if you are rooted then there might be more troubleshooting we can do.

edit: which carrier do you have? that way i can move you to the right s2 forum where folks who have your phone can help you out better.

Honestly, I don't think an OS update would cause those kinds of problems, especially if you've done a reset. It sounds like something is wrong with the hardware. You might want to check to see if anything is stuck in the USB port like dirt that could be intermittently shorting the phone. Other than that, I'd say it would need to be repaired.
