Help Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch

I have rooted my device and installed a very nice recovery.
Most of the time I do a backup weekly or bi-weekly. the issue is that no matter which rom i flash when i desire a new rom, MY headphone never works..
Any Advice from others with this issue

Does it work with the stock ROM? If not, the jack may be defective. Or the audio amp on the motherboard may be.
