Help Galaxy S2 no data connection (O2 UK)

I've just upgraded on my O2 contract and got a Samsing Galaxy S2, I've brought it home fully set up to make calls, but it seems there's no data connection at all on it.

Do I have to wait 24 hours for the data connection to kick in or should I be doing something else? I've had a look on Google and done everything suggested, but I still can't access the music hub or the Marketplace app, just says "connection error, can't display webpage" or something?!

So basically how do I get the data connection on my shiny new S2 working? Wait 24 hours or something else?

Hi, long press on your power button to the right of the phone, then activate data from there.

Still doesn't work, can't access the Android Market or the music hub

If it doesn't work in 24 hours I'll go back to Phones4U and ask why not.

Also check the status of data, if its G its pants, either 3G or H are the best, I have crappy connections at lots of places tbh.

Hmm, this area is notorious for bad connections, I'll try it nearer the Flat next week.
