Galaxy S2 or Iphone?

Hey guys. i used to have an S1, btu wound up with my Bold.
Anyway, i know there are a few threads like this, but anyway:
Why android? Why not iPhone?
Please don't be biast.
Biggest difference i see ATM is durability.

I personally like the openness and freedom you have with android over iOS. Really the choice as to which phone is right for you can only be made by you. I am trying not to give you a biased reply.

Welcome to AF :D

Yeah, one thing i do like is that with aAndroid it feels like you have way more cusomability, like you can do more with the phone, if that makes sense.

The s2 has gingerbread stock but Samsung has said they will update it to ICS we just don't know when

Customisation and compatibility are the main reasons, if you don't like anything on your Android device chances are you can change it, customization on the iPhone is very limited in comparison.

With Android the stock video and music player support many more media formats and if they don't as above you can download a player that does support them and it's simply a matter of coping them over and playing them.

Just the whole Apple policy, them blatantly copying stuff and calling it their own. Having a closed app store. Much more freedom on Android, not to mention I like rooting.

I would be inclined to think that on "Android Forums" you might get a biased opinion, or 50 :)
My good friend absoluetly hates his iPhone and is counting the days till his contract expires, FWIW. But I know everyone has, and is entitled to a different opinion.
I always remembered Apple computers in High School as "Those big ol' fruity colored kids computers" myself, and that made my decision to go with an Andriod device pretty easy :) lol

If we're going to knock Apple policy, it has to be their closed-source attitude. You can't do anything on your iOS device without jailbreaking, and even then your options for customization are limited. Everyone's iOS interface looks the same. Apple loves to dictate what their users can and cannot do with their devices (which absolutely infuriates me as a consumer).

Just a few examples: You can't take 720p video on the 4S (which would be helpful in saving storage space), and are instead forced to shoot in 1080p (even though every 1080p camera is perfectly capable of downscaling). You're tied to iTunes for all your updates and file management. Apple bans useful plugins like Flash from their devices, not even giving users the option to turn it on "at their own risk." You can't even change the battery on your device if it dies! I already mentioned being unable to modify the appearance of the user interface in any way, even with jailbreaking.
