ive seen in a few places now that the processors are 1ghz dual core and not 1.2ghz dual core. are there different models?

Welcome to AndroidForums!

It is 1.2Ghz. When it was first announced, Samsung said it was 1Ghz. However, a few weeks ago, the boost was confirmed. The SGS2 will have a dual core Exynos 1.2Ghz SoC (System-on-a-Chip).

Depends on where you live. Either 1.2ghz exynos for fancy pants western countries and India/singapore/early adopters or 1ghz tegra 2 for later emerging markets. Still don't know if they can meet demand, so the tegra 2 might not show up at all, or show up early and even in western countries if exynos supply proves troublesome.

It's all a mystery at the moment. Logic would suggest that the UK and early markets will get the Exynos CPU, Mali GPU and SAMOLED+ screen, and from that I can only honestly assume Tegra 2, whateverGPUitwas and Super LCD will be used for Canadian and US market.

Super LCD for Canada/US? Wuuuuaauauuat? :p

I think the S-LCD/Tegra2 model will be for India and other non-premium markets. I think the US version will have all the fanciest stuff. This is complete speculation on my part.

What logic would that be? Early markets have a higher probability of getting the Tegra 2 variant due to the early short supply of the Exynos.
