Help!
I bought a galaxy s 2 from ATT on the release date, first ever android device I bought and I really want to root it. I saw a method using odin or something like that but it was talking about flashing kernels and such and seemed very confusing. Also I don't think you can use odin on a mac (I know, don't hate me for having a mac) Then I saw gingerbreak which seems promising, its a app that roots your phone but i'm not sure if it would work? Can someone tell me what to do to root my device? Also I can use windows but it would be through a virtual computer and thats a pain in the ass. In case if this would help, here is my Model Number:Samsung-Sgh-I777, running on android 2.3.4, and kernel version:2.6.35.7, baseband version:I77UCKH7
