Galaxy S2 unroot back to stock woes

Lurker
I have a Galaxy S2 I installed Cyangenmod 10 with their beta installer all went well was using it for some time, and I fancied installing lollipop and it all went wrong from there it wouldn't load so after a lot of trying different roms with no success and restoring back to stock 412 a few times I still can't do it the only way I could root again was with iroot. But it still won't let me use CWM or TWRP to flash again. Would like to update again to a more recent rom.
Any help would be appreciated I have googled lots but just seem to be going in circles.

I have so called restored to stock but Samsung will not upgrade as the phone is not stock!

Are you using Odin and a Cwm/Twrp tar or are you using a custom kernel such as Philz Or Siyah?

Iroot... Hmm have you tried installing SuperSU and using Cydia impactor, Or Kingo?
When you flash the rom, are you doing a factory reset in Cwm/Twrp before rebooting?
I have never used the CM installer so i'm not sure how that works.
