Galaxy S2 versions?? Confused?

It could be that nobody knows the answer to this, but it's been bugging me so I need to try..

I preordered the Galaxy S2 a while ago, and on the site I preordered for it lists the radios as the quad band UMTS. On samsung's official site it is also listed as Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100. I am on AT&T so I need the 850/1900 bands. Now I hear that the UK gets the Galaxy S2 first, in May. UK phones usually never have 850/1900 bands, but does anybody know if the Galaxy S2, if listed on Samsung's website as Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100, has actually been physically limited for the carriers? Is there one model still unannounced which is the Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 version, and each "carrier" version only has it's respective radio bands? Or are they all the Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 version therefore making it possible for me to get one of the UK models? (doubtful)

I'd hope to not have to wait till Q3 for the Canada version..

I would presume the same thing. It looks as though this will be a true world phone model which seemingly is bucking the trend. I've noticed in the past that world phones would be 900/2100, or 900/1700(AWS)/2100, but would never include North American bands.

Thanks for the replies.. Anyways, I really hope so. Feels like I've been waiting forever, and I've been getting impatient lol.

I just wish there was some definitive information on this somewhere..

850 and 1700 are the American 3G bands.

850, 1700 and 1900 are the North American 3G UMTS/HSPA bands. More specifically in the US, AT&T is 850/1900 and T-Mobile is 1700. The majority of North American GSM carriers, though, are on 850/1900 for 3G which in the past has tended to be absent from unlocked world phone offerings.
