Galaxy S2

I'm not sure what your post means, but that article is woeful. The processor upgrade is great, but not exactly news any more. I'm not sure about the 4GB ROM claim, it was 16GB storage (a 32GB model will probably be re-announced during the summer) with I think 1.1GB for program storage. That article says 1280x720 screen resolution ... I wish! It has the usual 800x480 screen, this is the one area in which this phone doesn't excel. A 720p native resolution would be amazing.

Yea, that article was kind of messy on the specs & what not. I understand how people would like a bump in res for the screen but the Super Amoled Plus is not just a pretty screen. It actually has more sub pixels in tighter areas that cured the checkered look(only if you look closely) on the old Super Amoled look. So it still has a sharp look without the qhd res. Even if it had qhd res it would actually be better then the normal qhd phones out and coming out now. It's two different things. One is res and the other is quality of screen. They both have a relationship but differ in some areas. Super Amoled Plus is just fine for me. Makes the touch more responsive. Maybe next year they'll have a better screen plus higher res.

The Plus screens looks sharper than the previous AMOLED screens, but not sharper than old LCD screens. Of course the colours are richer, the contrast is vastly more and even the pentile matrix (the checkered look) is much nicer than LCD screens IMHO. The screen on this phone is excellent I have no doubt, I was only referring to the resolution when I said it didn't excel. I'm sure "retina" and even 720p SAMOLED+ screens for smartphones will be here in a couple of years.
