Galaxy S3 4G question

I just got my phone from sprint. I used to have the epic 4G Touch, where my area is is full coverage of 4g network....but i cant get any 4g on my s3. They (SPRINT) told me that this phone is either 3g or 4g lte???? Is it true any or some does have 4g??? Please let me know!!!

international model = 3g
us model = 4g

Was your old phone using WIMAX 4G?

If so, the GS3 is an LTE phone, and Sprint is just now rolling that out so it might not be in your area yet.

This is exactly correct. I have great WiMax 4G coverage in Seattle but no LTE 4G yet which is one of the reasons I am not even considering upgrading right now.

Unfortunately you are stuck with 3G until Sprint LTE arrives in your area.

I am in a decent WiMAX area and upgraded to the GS3. I miss WiMAX but LTE should be clicked on here, soon.

Also, if you go to Settings > Wireless and networks > More settings > Mobile Networks > Network mode, you can switch between CDMA and LTE / CDMA. After Sprint launches LTE in your area, you will be able to switch to LTE / CDMA and use LTE 4G
