So I've been having this very frustrating problem lately.
My Galaxy S3 can't charge whilst turned on.
When I plug it in, it does recognize that I plugged in the charger, but it keeps discharging just as usual.
The only way to charge it to turn it off, and even then it's inefficient (It takes longer than usual to fully chrage it, and it drains extremely fast, about 20% per hour while idle).
Some additional information:
- The phone is about 1.5 years old.
- another thing that accured is that the phone gets really hot if it's being charged whilst turned on.
- I tried replacing the battery, the charger, the USB cable, and tried to charge through my PC (none of that helped)
- I tried charging the phone in safe mode (didn't change a thing).
- I tried factory reset (yup.. nothing changed)
- when I used my charger/battery on other S3 phones it worked fine.
- I think it started a little while after I upgraded to Jelly Beans 4.3
I'm really frustrated. Hope someone here could help me figure out how to fix it.
Thanks in advance!
