No need to camp in front of stores cause you'll probably only be 1 of 20 people in your immediate area who subscribe to Metro and can actually afford to drop $500+ on a phone.

Customer service and even corporate won't tell you anything that's for sure even if they know sometimes. Never rely on the website to check for upcoming phones. It never helps. You'll just have to wait until this Friday and on to check when it's there. But I'd still call my local store and ask for the phone i'm sure they'll know what you're talking about lol
 
so am i right in guessing that once we have the phone in our hands we'll be able to root using 1 of the methods from the top carriers, or will we have to wait?

Its all the same. From what I was told we can use anything S3 related.

Same US version phone ... different carrier ... own carrier radio...

metro wont release a phone without the promos being aired and sent everywhere anyways with that being said a good source from howard forums that works deep within the umbrella corporation inside the comb said in some states they started to promote the s3 on some billboards, so its safe to assume not all states will start to get them at the same time for now no billboards or promos have been seen in florida so if it indeeds it lands somewhere the 28th i dont think it will be florida.

I would rather wait an extra week or two if they release it with jellybean instead of ICS. Metropcs with never come up with a update for Jellybean.
 
When the JB update is up for the US everyone will be able to get it including us so it doesn't matter if we get it out of the box or not as we'll be able to update to it anyway.

What's the difference in having it a week earlier and updating it yourself?
