I've decided to go ahead and leave metro, buy an s3 out right and activate on t mobiles byod $60 plan.
Why am i doing this?
I get an s3 now. I get an s3 that i won't have to get rid of after the companies fully integrate. And if you plan on staying with metro, you will be moved to t mobile eventually. So I'm just moving now instead of later, saving a lot of money and i end up having a phone that will have value and still be operable that i will get for far less than metros price.
Versus buying metros s3 if it every comes out only to sell it because it will become inoperable in due time after the company fully merges from which i would buy a tmob phone at that point anyway.
After thinking about this, it's blatantly obvious the right move to make.
PLUS, you can buy an unlocked s3 brand new on Ebay for 400. It's a win win win all around to just jump ship now and make the move. It's the same thing as waiting on metro but you'll lose money by buying their phone vs straight out elsewhere and losing money when you are stuck with an inoperable phone that you can't sell.
I'm just stating my decision. This isn't a debate or an argument waiting to start so don't even go there. I plan on buying my s3 today and using up my last month of metro because I've already paid and then signing up on tmob byod $60 plan at the first of the month.
It's been real. It's been fun. It's been real fun.
