Is there any guarantee that you'll get it as soon as they get them because you put the deposit down? I mean, let's be honest, it's not like there's going to be a riot for people to get the phone, with the phone selling out within hours of it going on sale...Putting your name down is probably already MORE than enough. A deposit? Overkill.

Your gonna buy it anyway so it wouldn't hurt to put a deposit down. It's like going to see a movie you know is going to be sold out, so you buy your tickets ahead of time.

That's true, but in this case, you know beforehand, for whatever reason, that the tickets will be sold out. However, I'm almost certain that even if you don't put your name down at all, you'll be able to just go to any store that gets one whenever they get them this weekend and just pick it up. Remember, 90% if not more of metro's users want a phone that calls and texts (Maybe) for cheap. They couldn't care less if it's the latest thing. They won't get sold out immediately, they're probably going to receive enough stock in each store to be able to sell to at least 15 people.

Lol. Hell no. I told you, it could have already been out. My decision was solidified after getting to fully explore an s3. Great phone, just not for me.
i have now become a user of straight talk thus leaving metro behind after 5 years. Enjoying service where i didn't have it before and 4 times the data speeds.
Wasn't sure until i actually started on ST if i would like it, but it's what works for me and that's all that matters.

I mentioned in the other thread that I'd called the nearest Corp store in Gainesville and they said maybe today but most likely this weekend.
I just called the nicest, newest authorized dealer nearby and without missing a beat they said they'd have them in the store for sale the 22nd (Monday).
This strengthens my opinion that it's the Corp stores that will get them today and this weekend.

i live in miami and i passed by the corp store on 117 and sunset on my way home from work, guy said they're 'supposed' to be able to sell them tmrw but they havent arrived so he doesnt know how thats gonna happen, he said theyre expecting them in anytime today or tmrw so they could start selling them
