Galaxy S3 news and more !!

so im still confused since no one can give a solid answer, how many gigs are we getting 16 or 32. Since this phone will be the same as all the other carriers i have to assume 32 gigs

I have received CONFIRMATION from select store(s) down here that they will have a LIMITED quantity of S3s in stock at some point tomorrow and that it's first come first serve. Sorry but I will not reveal said location(s) as it took me some leg work to receive visual confirmation of this information. I'm still waiting next week though to see if I can get it on wirefly or elsewhere to avoid paying tax

P.S., They are 16gb not 32

what area are u in??

Down here with 7% sales tax and the amount the stores charge you for activation and whatever extra fees they like to tack on, that comes out to another $43 - $49 extra for the phone.

I'm on the $50 plan so that's like paying for another month of service in taxes and fees. No thanks...rather use that money towards a case

On a $500 an extra almost $50 that's a 9% increase & some bought the $150 motion just 2 months ago and I swear if I buy another phone anytime soon my lady WILL kill me

*Just confirmed yup she'll kill me

I would be surprised if you could get it off Metrocom without paying Fla sales tax. They do have numerous Corporate presences in Fla. Then I'd guess it boils down to whether you can talk them out of the $15 activation at the store and let you take the phone home and do it.

If the only difference was $15 on a $500 phone I'd probably say the heck with it and get it from the store.

But I'm also frugal. If you escaped Fla tax on-line from Metro too, that'd be the way I'd go (but I don't think you can escape the tax).

[EDIT] I just semi-placed a order for a Motion on-line. You pay sales tax, for me it would have been 6%.

Exactly. You guys all thought it was coming out over 2 weeks ago and ended up waiting an extra 3 weeks for the phone, so you're already used to waiting by now. What's another week or two at this point LOL ? You can look at it like you're getting a free month of service for buying it online instead of local.

Also if you order from a vendor like wirefly instead of Metro, you can activate your phone for free as well so you really are only paying $499 flat.

Yeah n4zty show me i went and acted like I was purchasing a phone and no taxes were added check it out

I just play purchased a Motion from Metro.com and it DID charge me our 6% sales tax. (Marion county, Fl)

[EDIT, 2 day shipping=0, $149.00 + $8.94 sales tax=$157.94, right off of Metro.com]
