Welcome to Android Forums! First post here I see. I don't have your device but I've seen that before. If you have a custom recovery installed, you can boot into that and wipe cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions.

Have you tried to clear cache and data from the playstore app?
menu/settings/manage applications/all and find the playstore app.
Also it would help to do the same to "google framework services"

If that doesn't work and you haven't rooted, you could try clearing the system cache by booting into the stock recovery- you do this by shutting down and booting while holding the volume up, home button and power button simultaneously. You should then get a menu that will allow you to wipe the cache, among other useful things.

Are your downloads enabled?
menu/settings/application manager/all/downloads
make sure it says "enabled"

Is gmail working?
Have u disabled any system apps?

Hey lads still no joy.my gmail is working fine and my downloads are on.should I just throw it off the wall haha

Whenever ive had a Gapps problem, none of the Google Apps have worked. Ive no idea what the problem is though.
Id try changing the title of this thread to something more specific tbh (edit first post and it should let u change the title) :thumbup:

Play Store problems have been coming up a lot on here lately... is it anythin to do with the playstore update or a carrier firmware update? :thumbup:
