How did that even get to be a story? Must be a slow news day lol. It's not a leak, or even a rumor, just some guy's concept of what he would like that he posted on Google+. I might be the only one, but I find the trend of swiping for everything annoying. "swipe left for this, swipe diagonally right with a swirl for that". Just give me a button, dagnabbit! :p

Geez...I try to post some phone news in here for once & this is the treatment I get. Ok, it will never happen again :p

Anyone have any ideas why my 3g nexus 7 with full network bars tells me I am off line? I turn wifi off and I have no data? Was all fine until I put a rom on.

AJ,

I just got my Wife's N4 replaced because it could never hold a consistent signal. I have a feeling you have a hardware defect. You've had problems Stock and ROM'd. Return it to Stock and get it replaced brother.

Logic tells me rom borked your data connection:D

I keep coming up with APN settings while hitting up google. Anyone know about this?

How does one return to stock? Do I just ADB into bootloader, then push the binary?

I found both the binaries and factory images (in a .tgz file) over on the XDA.

Its too late to get a refund. I am almost to the point I am done messing with this thing to get it to work. And, I just got the official dock and a keyboard folio case in today for it.

If this was my first android device, It would be a huge turn off for me :(

I think at this point, I can get by with turning the blasted thing off to save battery, but its useless with out data.

I just pulled up the APN and pretty much everything is "not set"
Name: ATT LTE
APN: pta
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: not set
Password: not set

Kinda looks like the info got toasted when I flashed a new rom. Guess an call to AT&T for the info to see if that does the trick before I start flashing things again.

I don't have a nexus 7... but have experience with my Gnex. A full flash back to factory images usually wipes the slate clean and fixes all issues caused by a bad rom install. It's essentially a full nuclear reset. It's one of the best things about nexus's... because the factory images are available it's almost impossible to do something rom wise that ruins a device.

I would try a factory image flash before contacting your service provider... their response is likely to be "pound salt".

You think AT&T is going to tell me to take a hike if I ask them for my apn settings? Actually, that would not surprise me.

Yup.. most service providers are not flasher friendly. My opinion is a flash back to stock with factory images will be your best route.

Have you been making backups before flashing? You should be:) If you have try flashing back to a previous point that works.

I love flashing roms...but this stuff happens occasionally.

Got my mobile data back. Nandroided back to stock rooted.

Oh, why is there no auto correct with Bluetooth keyboards? With how cramped they are, its more work to use them. My mom now has a Bluetooth keyboard and nexus 7 case. The keyboard was detachable from the case.

Gotta love it when you wake up nice and early to go to the bathroom and you know there's no chance of falling back asleep.
Here I am now with the first cup of coffee at 3:30 and I don't even have to work today.
