Hey all.

Did not get a whole lot of goodies from yesterdays chase, but got a couple shots:

the one and only cell we managed to get near. We would of had it too, if we did not stop to get these shots, but, all the same, at the time I got this shot, the radar was indicating 1.50" sized hail. It was crossing the highway (I-70)

Also tried to do a little hiking with:

A nova 5aw bag with:
Canon 5DmkII, 24-105mm f/4L IS, canon 300mm f/4L IS, canon 30D (for should I need extra reach with the longer lens), a 1.4x extender.

It, honestly, sucked. Don't get me wrong, I love my 5DmkII, but for hiking, not an ideal set up. The rx100 is also a great camera, but "not quite enough" so I am thinking about buying an older Olympus pen e-pl3 (the "lite" edition), but I am doing some research.

Why not leave the one of your bodies at home if weight is an issue. I hike with my 7100, 16-85, food, jacket, and 3L of water in a blader with no issues. gonna get a 70-300 to carry for extra reach.

A good backpack goes along ways and distributes the weight better. It will also likely be cheaper than a new cam.
 
Ugh. I'm done. This nexus 7 is totally useless. I am fed up trying to make it work. I leave it off to save battery and it dies too.

Not even sure it would be worth trying to send it in for warranty.

Actually Mondays are just my easiest, borderline boring day at work. :)
Need to pick up a card for the lady for our anniversary (tomorrow) at one of the quirkiest shops near the restaurant. They're very adult oriented and very DC proud. :D

Why on earth would you want a new plasma, unless you need an extra radiator? :confused: and in the summer too :eek:
 
Sorry, just getting the apartment straightened out and cleaned. Going to celebrate our anniversary a day early since we'll be out and crazy tomorrow to see The Postal Service at Merriweather. :)
Making a nice dinner of corn Johnny cakes with a mushroom cream sauce and a nice fresh veg salad of asparagus, peas, tomatillos, tomatoes, avocado and a roasted garlic vinaigrette.
Homemade chocolate chip cookie sammies with Ben and Jerries Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz ice cream for dessert. :D
Got a nice bottle of a white blend from CA to go with it since it's so damn hot out!
Should be a fun dance party of sorts. :)
(and, Postal Service/Death Cab For Cutie had a lot of songs in the running for our first dance song ;))
