Just need to vent a little I guess....
Woke up very early this morning in anticipation for coffee with a friend. I had not had high hopes for this as "something came up" previously and this was a reschedule. Sure enough, after getting cleaned up, I came back to my phone to see it flashing.
It was her.
Something came up.
I guess this tells me pretty much everything. She is not interested.
And I was just hoping for coffee with a friend, outside of the work environment.
Im not mad. A little sad perhaps, but not mad. I still should see her around work, for however much longer that may be.
Anyway, after a while, I decide to go buy some new pants and a few other things since the ones I have where too big. Go up to wally world, get some new pants, get something to eat, get home and its still before noon and I am bored with nothing to do, so I decide to take them up on their offer and go to work early.
I put on my new shoes I got yesterday, some new pants, and head in to work. Turns out they really did not need me there early today. I stayed anyway because I was not going to come home for 3 hours then go back up there. It was better then being board, I guess.
Lunch time rolls around, I eat, then decide to take a little walk around the block. On my little walk, I managed to run into a BUNCH of cocoburs, you know, those stupid round seeds that are covered in sharp, prickers that have a barb in them? Yeah. About half way through my walk, I am starting to get covered in them, my new pants and shoes. I tried to pull a few off, got stuck, so I pulled my knife out and tried to flick some off. Since it was going to be several, I thought I would sit on the curb to do the task.
Well, I sat on the curb a bit to fast and fell over, backwards into more of these stupid things! I tried to pull my self strait up to prevent rolling around in them but being a bit out of shape, I could not get my balance right to do so.
So, now I am COVERED in these stupid little pricklers on my shirt, back, pants, shoes. I pulled my work shirt off, trying to remove them and it was tricky, because I had no solid surface to work off of. Finally, I decided to walk back to work, sit down and de cocobur myself. Which took a good 10-15 minutes past my lunch break.
I got most of them, but even my undershirt has a few barbs in it, my work shirt, shoes and pants do to.
Yeah. Nice day.
Could be worse, I guess.
