One thing I never ate until I moved to the US was pumpkin. They're not exactly common in Blighty.

Took one bite and was in heaven. Now I know why we have fall!

I'm a sweet potato gal myself ... in the fall I make dozens of sweet potato pies! Each child claiming a whole one is theirs alone. Lol

we usually either steam the sweet potatoes and eat them like that or we chop them into finer pieces and fry it with some brown sugar. not as healthy, but certainly more delicious, lol.
