Probability of strong storms happening. I caught my Dust Tube on a 3% day in a place where that was not really in the mapped area. Granted, it was generated from the gust front and not a mesocyclone.

It, um, kind of gets more complicated from here. And I am just starting out with this myself. The higher the number, the greater the chance of severe thunderstorms. The areas highlighted are where conditions are favorable for strong storms to develop, where air masses collide (moist warm air and cooler drier air)... and... well... see what I mean
