They got the battery and storage right, at least.

The barometer humidity and temp sensor is ideal for me, but I never used them on my Nexus or Xoom

I'm choosing to watch Jeopardy instead. Samsung "plays" are not what I was looking for. They, uh, need to look at Apple more for presentations.

Probably a good idea :)

I should go watch the HTC one event then come back later to the long and short of it.

So far, I am not impressed :(

Man, they are really pushing that dual camera.

Rather enjoyed the Tech companies on Jeopardy. Knew it was Intel and no one else did. :)
(yeah, I'm not that good. My wife is amazing with Jeopardy, she needs to get on there and make us some money :)).

All I can say is that the camera features are what I'm hyped about, being I'm into photography. I'm really feeling the dual camera feature.

Just watched the S4 event.

I'll be passing on it for sure. Nothing I saw made me say...I must have this phone.

Note 3...where you at ? ;)

AJ...you will like the camera stuff my friend.

They needed a new device for that!?

I am a shutterbug too, and yes that could be useful to some but I hardly think they needed new hardware for that.

I was reading a couple weeks ago where they were saying that for smartphones, they've just about reached their pinnacle, that all they're really doing now is just making better what they already have.

Oh man. I suppose they have pulled off a lot of the rumours. How cheezy (i get that they meant it to be pseudo cheezy.. or did they??) was that!
I missed a good bit of it so did they backtrack a bit on the head-tracking scroll thing in favour of a tilting thing?
And who on earth is gona get 4 friends round with the same phone to position their phones as front right, centre, front left, etc to play a song in surround sound lol??? Wtf?? :)

But from the new features... what does everyone hope will be portable to the s3?

Well, with my wife and her friends & family, I promise it won't be a problem. It's like chatterbox central with them.

Edit: Personally though, as for me, I say keep the phone and release the codes.

Lol :)
I think the only thing that interested me much is the floating touch or whatever. Is that a hardware thing?
And whats the new "hole" at the left of the speaker?

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice phone. I just think that my S3 is still King Of The Hill. I mean, once I rooted this bad boy, it's been unstoppable.

I'm actually most impressed this is launching with Android 4.2.2! :)
Video from the Verge was nice:
Samsung Galaxy S4 preview: a bigger, faster upgrade to the world's most popular Android phone | The Verge

Edit: Just have to say (I know there's haters), but I won't get another phone that doesn't have an on screen nav bar. Capacitive buttons need to die. :)

Noooo unless display pannels get as thin as dedicated capacitive buttons then on-screen buttons are a waste of space :)

Yeah its good its gettin shipped with 4.2.2 :) just coz itl piss apple off

Not to say you can't take a photo with a cell phone...

And of course it looks way better on the phone...

All I want is the hardware/radio/battery of the Razr HD Maxx, screen of the HTC One, camera of the GS4 and software straight from Google, a la AOSP 4.2.2.
Is that too much to ask? :o
