Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

Ton's of "step Dad's" get more credit than "real Dads" in my book...
I could never accept another persons child as my own, so in that respect.... Mad props to all the step daddies out there ! I for one LOVE Ya'll

The little guy in my avatar is my son. He is five, my stepsons are 14 and 18.

I am actually quite unimpressed with the lack of accessories. I keep hearing... "soon"

I thought the stores would be super stocked, but quite the contrary. I need some bling bling !!!! lol

+1 for some bling! (After some searching, I have found a little bling for the S3 - what kind are you looking for, maybe I can help.)

Treb, I put my case back on last night after waiting 48 hours for the HD protector to "set". So far, so good.

Definitely one of the biggest thing with Androids is accessories. :(
iPhone has the win on that. I have pogo pins on both my Gnex and N7 and there's barely anything on the market to actually use them.

Chief did chime in & loved it. Yeah, I'll leave those folks be for awhile. We still have alot of work to do here on this watering hole to be trolling over there anyway. Now lets talk BBQ !!! :eating:

This is what a started with for a picnic a few weeks ago. Yep, that is 40lbs of pork with my homemade rub ready to go in the smoker. 15 hours later at 225 it was delicious.

kymberlin, start cookin' my dear !!

Tonight's menu....

Grilled talapia with a jalapeno crab Bearnaise sauce, smoked sausage (for the boys), rice stuffed artichockes and a nice salted caramel topped vanilla ice cream sunday. (soy ice cream for me as to not mess up the 4 am workout).

Damn... I cook and own a S3!
Top that Nexus watering hole !!!

OMG...jalapeno crab sauce..yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm E !!!

Workout: reminds me, since I got my S3 the workout routine has been put on hold. But in those weeks I've lost 9 pounds???? Must be the finger S3 workout thats doing the trick ( aka spending too much time here typing ).

The Apple ecosystem will take a huge hit now, due to the IMO superfluous port design change. They will still be better with bling, but a new system to fill.

I minor snippet of a conversation we had in the Nexus Watering Hole about smoking meat. I would quote more of it, but it went on for like 200+ posts as we explored different regional varieties, slaws, and other sides. That conversation was in February, so it appears you folks are 5 months behind.:vroam:

I love cooking too! I like really starting from scratch with foods. We are going to have our V-Day dinner this weekend. Homemade pulled pork.

I'll start Thursday night with an 8lb pork butt, yellow mustard and my home made rub. Let that sit in the fridge overnight. Friday, I'll fire up the smoker around midnight and throw it in with some hickory chips that really compliment the rub and the pork. I'll get up every 4-6 hours and add more wood chips as needed. ~15 hours later we have dinner for Saturday (maybe longer as it is cold outside).

What temp do you smoke your brisket at? I usually run beef around 240 and cook until internal temp of 200. Also, what type of wood do you smoke it with? Its usually apple for me. I also like to cut a pocket in the brisket and stuff it with bacon and onions and "sew" it closed with skewers. Just a few, you don't want to overwhelm the flavor.

I've done the oven / grill ribs and they are excellent.

I've only been smoking meat for two years. It really isn't that expensive or time consuming. Actually, the premise of it is taking bad / tough cuts of meat and making them palatable. I'll give you two hints I've learned should you try smoking BBQ. I bought my smoker for about $200 and I am usually smoking meat that costs $1-2 per pound. And it really doesn't take a lot of "time." While my pulled pork usually takes 14-18 hours to cook, I probably spend about 1/2 hour actually doing anything. About the only PITA is getting up at like 3AM to add woodchips.:D

Black pepper gets really strong in a smoker. I tried the rib rub for the oven / grill ribs (which really tasted good) on ribs I smoked and the black pepper was overpowering. It was all you could taste.

I smear plain yellow mustard on the meat before I put the rub on. It is a good smoking spice that you won't taste in the finished dish and it helps the rub stick to the meat.

BBQ is goooood.

Perhaps a reason for the current lack of bling is Samsung and their aftermarket partners did not want to commit until they saw how the current Apple litigations played out...
