I don't believe I, posted one about food this entire weekend. Oh wait, nobody posted the entire weekend lol
And next weekend I will be partying like a rock star, so..... temporary reprieve!

I was just wondering when you actually posted last week ? :hmmmm::D

Still have not had the chance to update my ROM. Having a hard time trying to get the g apps package. Seems like hspa is down right now. Or very bouncy with its signal. Guess I can flash then update the apps later.

Sorry for your troubles.

BTW, wife still loves the Nexus. I am glad, because I needed her to like it!

Thanks again.

Really getting fed up trying to download the Gapps package. I am at home on wifi and still having issues. I guess the server is getting slammed (goo).

Starting to think about going back to stock and deal with the lower volume but better battery life.

I don't know. Part of me think this little game of rooting and updating stuff is just getting old...

Who has the most points scored against him in his league ? Me..of course.

Note 2 will be out Thursday for T-Mobile folks at least.

I dig the note 2... just not enough to dump the GS3.

After starting 1-3 I am now 4-3. :D

I just offered James Jones for Ben Tate. Im loaded at WR and would like to have the handcuff if Foster gets hurt. Probably a lot to give but I won't have to worry about Foster getting hurt.

Sounds good to me, but what do I know...really ? James Jones isn't real consistant anyway. So having the RB behind a injury prone guy is for sure a good idea.

As much as I hate to do this, I think we are going to send my sisters birthday gift back. Her Kind Fire HD. From what she has told me, she mostly reads on it, but battery life is horrible on it. I rarely she her with the HD in her hand, usually its her old school kindle with 3g and keyboard. I am really disappointed in this! I was actually thinking about the 8.9" version when it came out to have something I could tap into my prime membership with.

I am not sure if this is normal, but she says it needs charged about twice a day! She even turns it OFF when not in use.

So, I gave her a choice, first to call up amazon and talk to them about it, then see if she wants to return it. If so, I guess we will pre order a couple wifi only paper whites. One for me and one for her. Our parents will get our old 3g kindles :)

Make sure you check apps, services, processes and the like and see what CPU they are utilizing. (can you do that on the new Kindle HD???). My boss at work bought a Galaxy S III (after being a LONG TIME iPhone user. I was shocked, and I have this inkling that my personal reviews and demonstrations of my S III to him, along with a nice spreadsheet I made comparing the iPhone 5 and S III side by side, played no small part in his switch.) He had barely had his for two days, and he came up to me on the second day sitting with 25% battery left. It was still well before lunch, and he'd made a total of 15 minutes of phone calls and about 5 minutes of screen on time, so he was rightly worried about his battery life.

I found an app he downloaded (which was actually made by his son who is an app developer, I believe, hehehe) that was constantly restarting itself, along with several unnecessary Verizon processes. I killed them and disabled them, and removed the bad app (which, thankfully, was actually for the competition's radio station, not ours! ;)), and told him to give it another go. Today he called me at 4:00 p.m. with 84% of his battery left. I am happy to say that so far, it looks like I've been an instrument in the hands of .... err... Android, in bringing another into our fold. :D

Hopefully you can disable some junk on the Kindle and improve its battery life, because it's not supposed to be that shabby on the new Kindle Fire HD.

From engadget:

When it comes to battery life Amazon says you can expect 11 hours of normal usage, and in our typical battery rundown test (with a looping video, WiFi on and the display set to a fixed brightness) we scored about an hour short of that. Nine hours and 57 minutes, to be exact -- eight minutes more than the Nexus 7 managed on the same test. Yet again, a near-identical score and well within the top-tier of tablets.

Now, if she's comparing it to an e-ink reader, than she will surely be disappointed. :(
