Football comment : 1000% correct. Is annoying isn't it ? Football is Life as they say.

I can't say that I'm excited about the X either, at least not it's first production. I can foresee multiple problems with a first production model.
As for the One, it has never turned my head.
It's probably just me because the S3 had spoiled me rotten.
 
I think the X Phone could really blow us away. I mean, the rumors that have hit the wire thus far have been kinda outlandish in some cases. It could turn out to be something huge. And remember, I am biased toward Nexus and stock Android experiences, so I am hoping for something big!

Edit: Hi guys and gals. Treb, I decided I will stop picking on you...but only until football season :rolleyes:;)

Personally, I could care less about the X phone. Just not a Motorola fan sorry. I know it's Google, but blah blah blah :p

For HTC sake let's hope the One is successful. Have you seen their recent earnings reports...OUCH !!
Never have owned an HTC phone so can't really give an honest opinion.

Spoiled is right. The whole reason I bought the Note 2 is b/c I wanted my S3 to be bigger. I think I'm a Sammy fanboy for life.
 
I need a favor, but not a big deal.

Got a bud in the SGS4 forum saying his US SGS3 won't play 1080p without stuttering, and blaming the processor for that.

I usually stop at 720p on my LTEvo (same processor) because it's a 720p phone, ok, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Anyone here have experience on 1080p playback?

I did a quick test with this (may not be suitable for small children) using the mov format, had zero issues -

Although, maybe a cartoon wasn't intense enough or something.

Ahhh...ok, since you guys were debating between the S3 & S4, I thought my opinion might not matter. He might pull the "hey, not the same phone / processor" card :rolleyes:

Maybe he was debating, I never thought of that.

I was just answering questions about the two potential processors on the SGS4, and he explained that he had that problem with his phone.


I figured if others here didn't have 1080p playback problems on their US SGS3, maybe we could get him a solution to what's not working for him.
