Galaxy s4 and games

Hello everyone, I have a quick question do playing games (for long periods of time) affect the phone?

As in making it slower the more games you play over a certain amount of time. I know battery drains faster , but that's normal is there any other negative effect to playing games?

There are no negative effects other than having to recharge sooner, lol. If games weren't meant to be played, they wouldn't create them or put forced shut down timers on them.
