Galaxy S4 Motherboard Failure - Retrieve Data

blagger

Newbie
So according to a repair agent the motherboard on my S4 has failed and they can't repair it. Basically phone won't switch on and no lights come on even during charger input.

My question. Is there a way to recover data from it even though it won't switch on? Probably not but worth a shot.

It's possible but, unless you have something really really valuable, not worth it.

There are Forensic Data Recovery specialists who can do things like desolder the memory and extract the data directly from the chips but such services are very expensive and highly unlikely to be worth it.

Otherwise, it's a non-starter. You can't extract data from a device that won't turn on.
