Help Galaxy s4 screen issues?

I've had my galaxy s4 for about three months now. When I go to switch between screens it takes approximately 15 seconds and sometimes the screen back light will flicker. The backlight will also flicker if im on a screen not doing anything, like reading an article online or reading a text. It just recently started this. I restarted it. It didn't work. I pulled the battery. Still did nothing. I haven't downloaded any new apps lately and I use a task killer frequently. Anyone have any ideas???

I use a task killer frequently.
That can be a cause of all sorts of problems. Uninstall any and all task killers on your phone. Android's memory manager kills any tasks it needs to kill. Killing a task that Android needs will, at the very best, slow your phone down. At worst it can cause it to crash.

A flickering backlight sounds like a hardware problem unfortunately.

When you say switch screens, do you mean in your launcher? Have you tried another launcher to see if it does the same?

I completely agree with Rukbat about task killers, they serve no useful purpose and will only make matters worse. If you are interested in knowing why, there are quite a few posts here explaining the details.

Do you have Developer Options enabled? If so, just check if you haven't mistakenly enabled Strict Mode.

If you find that you haven't then tell me what colour does the screen flicker? Does it flash a Black screen? If not, and its just a matter of the backlight then you have a HW issue, take it back.

1.Do you update your phone or down load any 3rd app before the problem happens?
You can try to update your phone or root it.
2.Do you drop it suddenly?
Reconnect the cable of the screen. The problem may cause because the connector got loose.
3. But it is most possible that it is a hardware problem.
