Root Galaxy S6 ACTIVE in Canada

Hello Everyone. So I have a new S6 but I miss the waterproofing of my S5 so I broke down and got a S6 active. Also having the bigger battery while out sledding or quadding will be nice also.

Now to unlock the phone should be easy as I have read on here (but feel free to leave tips if you have some).

The Part I missed before buying this phone is I wont be able to get updates. If this is true would rooting the phone help? and if so is there people Rooting the Active? I have never done it before but sounds pretty straight forward.

From what I have read on XDA, no working root method yet.

From what I've read you can still get updates using Samsungs software on a computer to update it I'm on AT&T so I wouldn't be able to confirm it

Update: with some help from XDA I updated through Odin to 5.1.1. Fairly easy to do
