Root Galaxy S6 Stuck on reboot after trying to unroot

TWHYY

Lurker
Hey guys, I've searched the internet for all possible solutions but couldnt find a specific solution that could help me with my problem. My problem is the following:

I rooted my phone a while a go in order to recover some deleted pictures. Now I tried to unroot it again and followed this guide http://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-unroot-android-phone-tablet-652905/.
So I downloaded ES file explorer and deleted su and superuser (didnt delete busybox since i couldnt find it)
I restarted the phone and it got stuck on the rebooting black and white Samsung screen.
I tried to set it back to factory settings but didnt help. Also delted cache and tried to boot it in safe mode, nothing helped.

So does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Welcome to AF, @TWHYY.

I've moved your thread over here to our SG S6 root area for you as your most likely to get answers from the root folks in here that have your same device.

Cheers and best of luck!

By the way, just a little mini-rant: articles like that referenced are all well and good when things go right, but when a user gets into trouble, there's no recourse or support / help available when the information presented is incomplete or wrong (as is in this case where you were told to remove some of the files--there are more/other files involved/present in rooting your device than is indicated / covered by that article's woefully incomplete manual unroot process :().

I can't give you recovery instructions since I'm not really a Samsung guy--hopefully the good people in here can get you back up and running (I'm guessing by re-flashing the stock software).

I already tried this before but couldn't get it to work. Tried all kind of different Odin versions but didnt work.
I solved the problem by completely formating my phone with the emergency restoration function of "Samsung Smart Watch". Everything is gone but oh well... better than a broken phone right haha. thank you tho :)
