For me personally, I could only get one thing at a time to upload with Odin otherwise the program would shut down by itself. It was a pain in th ebutt but once I got PDA installed it was gravy.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
I followed those steps precisely ... even shut down every other unneccessary process running and it was still bugging out.
Nice work!Ok, I wrote up a pretty dummy proof tutorial.. walks you through, ADB, installing drivers and getting the firmware up and running....

If you still need help after this send me a msg and i'll see if I can get on IRC.
@kkarlin - thanks much.
i assume this also means "yes, apps are wiped from the device and you have to reinstall them"
so very tempted...if only it were an OS upgrade as well...
Also, not that in my experience if you're on Vista or Win7 ODIN should be run both as a WinXP app (right click program icon - Compatability Settings) and as Administrator (right click progam icon - Run As Administrator). It crashed every time before I did those two things.
Best of luck.

Can't really speak to that, I have a MacBook Pro, but it's running Vista...
I'd Google ODIN and MAC and see what you get.
To the mod and devs: I was bored and I checked out the open source page Samsung has for hosting the kernel and found they have posted a new zip. The first release was about 109MB, this one is 112MB.
Open Source - Samsung Mobile
Did the first one contain anything of use?
I'm downloading now to take a look.... we'll see... waiting for it to finish.
Apparently it's still Cupcake (1.5) But I saw some comments there that I believe they were fixing some bluetooth and some sdcard issues. They also added some symlinks for "backwards compatibility" so maybe it's 1.6? I doubt it though because platform still says Cupcake.
Can someone running a linux machine please BUILD the source code and let me know when thats done. I want to run the built code in the AVD Manager and see what it looks like. Send it to me, if it's too big, i'll make an anonymous FTP on my site for you to upload it so I can test it.
@kkarlin - thanks much.

Re the behold2 source. You can patch it to make it compile but its a real pain. Not really worth it since there's not too many changes in there right now.
If you still get force closes after installing the MMS app, rm -r Mms.apk and Mms.odex and then reinstall the mms app. Then finally, rm -r /data/dalvik-cache
RE the market. It saves your purchased apps, AND you're free apps but only on the first launch. Once you've done the initial setup, turn off you're display timeout, and launch the market. Go to downloads and install all you're apps.
Then turn you're display timeout on again.
If you don't turn off the display timout and the screen turns off, when you unlock it market will 'forget' you're free apps. Nice bug from android!
